For the last half of the century the art world has been blessed with the talents of Edward Szmyd. He is considered one of America's top 100 artist of the twentieth century and an American master of light and shadow.

Blowing Rock Frameworks and Gallery has partnered with Szmyd since 1995. Our very successful business relationship was surpassed only by the cherished personal relationship we shared with Edward. At the time of his death in December 2004 we were honored to be the only gallery given the privilege of representing his work.

Edward Szmyd will be greatly missed. His presence however, will always be with us thanks to his many wonderful paintings that will be enjoyed for centuries to come.
